  • We have more than 30 years of experience in food processing and packaging.
  • We offer selection and packaging of dried and dehydrated fruits, as well as dehydrated vegetables and other foods such as dried mushrooms.
  • We have highly specialized machinery to ensure the quality of our processes and packaging, such as X-ray with automatic ejection, picking belts, selection counters, rare earth magnets, stainless steel sieves, vacuum cleaners, static selection counters and, recently, a semi-automatic packaging machine.
  • We have not only processed, selected and packaged products for the national market, but also for markets such as Brazil, Colombia, Peru, China, Europe and North and Central America (consumer packaging in 500, 700 and 1,000 grams).

AVAILABLE SERVICES

SELECTION

We have state-of-the-art equipment and highly trained personnel to process all types of product to be packaged with our brand or our client's brand. Among the main stages of our selection process are:

  • Bin dumper or manual dispenser: The product is emptied automatically into the process line or emptied manually when it comes in boxes.
  • Stainless steel sieve to calibrate: The product is selected by sieves where it separates in 3 sizes.
  • Stainless steel sieve with vacuum aspirator to separate good product from foreign matters: Smaller product falls to the discard and light product is aspirated by the vacuum cleaner, ensuring that only the clean product continues to the next stage.
  • X-rays with automatic rejection: The product is inspected with X-rays. 90 air guns reject any foreign matter that is hard (the equipment detects everything that does not float). In this way, stones and other hard foreign materials that can be a potential risk for consumption are eliminated.
  • Selection tape: All products are carefully checked manually and visually by our team of sorters. Here we detect and remove any other remaining foreign matter or any product that is outside the specification requested by our client.

PACKAGING

We have state-of-the-art equipment and highly trained personnel to carry out the packaging of various products under our brand or that of our clients:

  • Bulk: the product from the picking belt or table goes directly to the box, which is automatically sealed and, from there, it goes to the metal detector (with automatic rejection) and then goes to the palletizing.
  • Bag: a cardboard box is used to go through the metal detector and once the product is reviewed and approved by the metal detector it is bagged and palletized.
  • Direct consumer packaging: we have a semi-automatic packaging machine for bags from 1kg. up to 150 grs.
  • Packaging with special specifications: we have packaging counters where we can make packaging for heavier products or mixed products such as musli.

AN EXAMPLE OF HOW OUR SERVICE WORKS

SELECTION AND PACKAGING OF MUSHROOMS

  • Alto La Cruz contacted us to give them a service for the process, selection and packaging of mushrooms for export. This was a major challenge since we had not previously provided this service and the “mushrooms” product, due to its way of production, is a very difficult raw material to process, clean and select.
  • To overcome this challenge, we designed a protocol for receiving the product as raw material and then made a process and selection manual to ensure product packaging according to the specifications of the different clients.
  • For this we took the specifications that were on the market and compared them with the requirements of Alto la Cruz and its clients. Once the specification was agreed, we made a work manual and adjusted our equipment to provide an optimal selection service.
  • The biggest challenge in the case of mushrooms is the presence of foreign matters such as stones, leaves and sticks. Thanks to our experienced human team and our state of the art equipment, we were able to develop an optimal layout. This has allowed us to deliver a product with which Alto La Cruz’s customers are happy and sure that what they will receive corresponds to what they have purchased.
